Merry Christmas - Happy Hannukah - Happy New Year!

For my family and I, this time of year is a very special one as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. During a very busy season for all of our families and a still contentious time in our politics, it's important to remember that Jesus was born into a world of political, social, and religious turmoil. His birth brought hope and forgiveness into the world and, as a Christian, I believe he brought the ability to connect with God on a personal level. I value this time with my family and our community and hope you will join me in my hope for peace, unity, and joy in our country.

To my Jewish friends, I say Happy Hanukkah as well, and I pray this season brings you and your family much relaxation and enjoyment.

2017 Presidential Inauguration Tickets:

My office has received many requests for tickets to the upcoming Presidential inauguration.  If you are interested in obtaining tickets, please contact your U.S. Senator or Representative.  If you are unsure who to contact, visit http://mdelect.net/, and enter your address. By clicking on the individual legislator on the left, it will redirect you to their website and contact information.

There are a limited number of tickets for the area right around the Capitol and those tickets are given out in a lottery by each congressional office. Of course, you can still go without a ticket. There will be giant television screens and speakers set up all throughout the National Mall. Tickets allow you to get much closer however.

Office Closure

Our Annapolis office will be closed for the week of December 24 through January 2. We will, however, be checking email and voicemail.  If you have an emergency or need to reach me or my staff, please leave a message.

The Maryland General Assembly returns to session on January 11, 2017.  I consider it a great honor and responsibility to serve you in Annapolis and welcome your thoughts and opinions.  Please feel free to contact me or my staff with any questions, or concerns that you have.

Again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
