Join Gov. Hogan for Summer Pig Roast on August 6th outside Hampstead
Governor Hogan will be in the Hampstead area on Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at 6 pm for a Summer Pig Roast benefiting his campaign. This is an affordable fundraiser with a chance to meet the Governor face-to-face and network with hundreds of others in the area. Gov. Hogan Announces Permanent Vehicle Registration for Disabled Veterans
On Tuesday, July 19, Governor Larry Hogan announced that the MVA will begin issuing permanent vehicle registration cards and license plate stickers to Maryland veterans who qualify as 100 percent disabled. Stickers and registration cards have been free for many years, but this will allow veterans to skip the trip to the MVA for renewal. This initiative is part of Gov. Hogan’s plan to improve customer service and to provide veterans the support they have earned and deserve.
New Driver’s Licenses in Maryland
Starting Monday, July 11, 2016, the MVA began issuing all driver’s licenses, learner’s permits, and identification (ID) cards through the U.S. mail within 7 to 10 business days. Maryland’s new cards feature multiple layers of security to help prevent identity theft and fraud.
Old New Windsor Road Closure
Old New Windsor Road in Union Bridge is scheduled to close on or about June 20, 1016 through late August 2016. Additional details are available at http://newwindsorquarry.com/detours-road-closures.
Hahn Road – Road Closure
Hahn Road at the intersection of Hahn Road and the Maryland Midland Railway is scheduled to be closed to all traffic on or about August 5 through August 10, 2016. Please use posted detours.
