Free Speech Under Attack

This week I submitted an OpEd to the Carroll County Times regarding the suppression of freedom of thought on college campuses. This is a serious problem that deserves more attention. To read this OpEd, click here

Update on Paid Sick Leave

If you have been following the news lately, you have probably seen news regarding the Governor’s veto of the paid sick leave. The Governor wisely vetoed this hostile job-killing legislation that I strongly fought against. Unfortunately, the democratic majority passed this legislation with a veto proof margin. To remedy this harmful legislation and attempt to make it more business friendly the Governor has established a special Committee on Paid Leave. The goal of this committee is to collect data from employers and workers to better understand paid leave policies and how this benefit is best met through a statewide policy. The committee had developed an online survey for businesses and employees to use to garner feedback. This survey is available at the link provided below, please feel free to share the link with others. http://www.dllr.maryland.gov/paidleave/

Can You Help Us Meet Our June 30th Goal?

On Monday, I emailed you with our campaign's goal of raising an additional $1,800 before midnight in June 30th to hit our mid-year goal - before we head into the heart of the summer. I've got good news - we are now down to needing just $1,234 before midnight Friday. If you can spare a contribution of $18, or any other amount please click here:  Thank you for your support!

The second is Traffic Alert- July 4th Celebration Gist Road, Kate Wagner Rd, Center Street, portions of Hook Road and Smith Avenue in Westminster.
