Ready Report May 24th, 2017
My family and staff offer our deepest sympathies to the victims of the ruthless concert bombing in Manchester on Monday. We stand with our British brothers and sisters in this time of crisis. The United States and our allies need to continue to make a stand against radical Islamic terrorism. Events like this highlight the importance of those that work to keep us safe at home and abroad. As we approach Memorial Day weekend, I would like to thank the brave men and women of our armed forces. I respectfully ask that over the time with your family and friends this weekend, you make sure to thank our service men and women, and keep those who died for our freedom in your thoughts and prayers.
Below you can find a letter to the Carroll County Times regarding redistricting reform, information regarding our petition to tell Attorney General Frosh that Marylanders do not support his Sanctuary State agenda, details on our 7th Annual Business Breakfast Roundtable, local events, and more!
Do-nothing, so-called “Redistricting Reform” Bill
I have been a strong supporter of redrawing Maryland’s gerrymandered congressional and legislative districts. I support Governor Hogan’s veto of the do-nothing so-called redistricting plan pushed by the majority party in the General Assembly. Tell Attorney General Frosh No to Sanctuary Status
We defeated the Sanctuary State bill in April and Governor Hogan also opposes. But now, Attorney General Brian Frosh is trying to go around Governor Hogan and the General Assembly- by telling local law enforcement not to cooperate with ICE and Federal authorities regardless of the circumstances!
Tell Attorney General Frosh that we want our communities protected, let law enforcement do their jobs. Click on the picture below to sign your name on the petition and tell AG Frosh that we reject his Sanctuary State Antics!
