Register to Vote

The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming election is fast approaching.  You must be registered by October 18, 2016 to be eligible to vote in the November election.  You may register to vote with the Maryland State Board of Elections at https://voterservices.elections.maryland.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration/InstructionsStep1.

 

LOCAL NEWS:

MD 194 over Little Pipe Creek/Bridge Deck Replacement

On Thursday, October 27th, the Maryland Department of Transportation will hold an informational meeting to acquaint the public with plans to replace the bridge deck of Little Pipe Creek Bridge.  The road is expected to be closed in the summer of 2017 for approximately 10 weeks.  The meeting will be held at New Midway Elementary school from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be no formal presentation. 

 

Greenwood Church Road to Close on or about October 21, 2016 to  January 2017

EVENTS:

Fall Harvest Days at the Carroll County Farm Museum

Carroll County Farm Museum will host the 50th Anniversary of their Fall Harvest Days celebration.  Admission is free.  October 15th, 10 am to 5 pm & 16, 11 am to 5 pm.  Parade is Saturday morning at 9 A.M. Activities include car show (Saturday), artisan demonstration, children’s costume contest (Sunday), make your own scarecrow ($), pumpkin painting, delicious food ($), live entertainment, children’s crafts, corn cannon ($), tractor rides and more.
