Recently an atheist organization filed a lawsuit in Federal Court against the World War I Peace Cross Monument in Prince George's County. The suit is based on a perceived violation of the Religious Establishment Clause in the First Amendment. This cause of action is unwarranted because the monument was originally paid for by the widows and families of WWI veterans before control was given over to the State in 1960. Governor Hogan has asked Attorney General Frosh to weigh in and provide defense for the monument, and Frosh has not taken action. Attorney General Frosh’s inaction has put the status of this important monument in jeopardy. Sign this petition to tell Brian Frosh to protect our Veteran's Monument!
