2024-2025 Senatorial Scholarship Information

Attached please find the 2024-2025 Senatorial Scholarship Application for District 5 (Senator Ready). Please note that the district maps have changed effective 1/11/23. Please make sure that you reside in District 5 PRIOR to applying via the link: http://mdelect.net. The link will direct you to your elected state officials (including your delegates) and the district linked with your home address. (For example, Hampstead and FInksburg are no longer in District 5).

Directions for student applicants:

To be eligible for a Senatorial Scholarship, you must attend a Maryland college or university or a private career school.  Private career schools must have the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s approval to operate and be accredited by a national accrediting association approved by the United States Department of Education.

Students may use the Senatorial Scholarship towards undergraduate studies or graduate studies, and may attend full or part-time while pursuing a college degree.  Full-time attendance is defined as twelve credits per semester for undergraduate students and part-time attendance is defined as six to eleven credits per semester for undergraduate students.

Please mail your application along with his most recent official transcript with a postmark not later than April 15, 2024 in order to be considered for a scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year.  Mail your application, a copy of your FAFSA and transcripts to Senator Justin Ready, Attn. Emily Van Horn, Legislative Aide. The PO Box address is located at the bottom of the attached application.
