Carroll County Delegation MPRP Letter to MD Public Service Commission
Earlier this week, our Carroll County Delegation sent a joint letter to the Maryland Public Service Commission (maryland_psc) outlining our strong opposition to the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project (MPRP) and laying out several specific concerns and issues that need to be addressed. PSEG has not yet submitted a route to the PSC but it seems likely to happen at some point later in the fall.
We will continue to advocate with our bipartisan coalition of state legislators and county officials across Carroll, Frederick & Northern Baltimore Counties for solutions to our state’s energy needs that do not involve taking thousands of acres of farmland and wetlands unnecessarily.
We encourage all who are affected either directly or indirectly to make their voice heard both at the PSC level (email the commission at [email protected]) and to state and federal officials and of course we will share more information and updates as we receive them.
