Carroll County Legislative Delegation to Hold Voting Session on Local Bill Requests

The Carroll County Delegation will hold a public hearing on proposed county legislation on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.  The hearing will take place in Room 406 of the Lowe House Office Building, 6 Bladen Street, Annapolis, Maryland.

The Delegation will be voting on Carroll County-specific bill requests for the 2017 Maryland General Assembly Legislative Session.  These legislative requests are ones made by the County Board of Commissioners, local non-profit organizations, and individual Delegation members.

 The local Carroll County bill requests include:  

  1. Legislative Bond Bill – Union Mills Homestead (Requested by Union Mills Homestead)

  2. Legislative Bond Bill – Boys and Girls Club of  Westminster (Requested by Boys and Girls Club of Westminster)

  3. Carroll County – Music Box Boxes and Devices Licensing Requirements – Repeal (Requested by County Commissioners)

  4. Carroll County – Repeal of Hucksters and Peddlers licensing requirements. (Requested by County Commissioners)

  5. Carroll County – Public Facilities Bonds (Requested by Carroll County Commissioners)

  6. Carroll County – Local Government Tort Claims Act as it pertains to Carroll County’s local public transportation contractor. (Requested by County Commissioners)

  7. Carroll County –  Filling Vacancies – County Commissioners. (Requested by County Commissioners)

  8. Carroll County – Sheriff’s Salary 

  9. Carroll County – Criminal Procedure State’s Attorney Compensation/Investigators as Peace Officers
