Ready Report- November 22

Dear Friend,

With all the terrible stories in the news lately, it’s good to take some time to focus on what we are thankful for. God has truly blessed us to live in the most free and prosperous nation in the world. May God Bless you and your family this Thanksgiving Weekend.

“(We) offer up penitent and fervent prayers and Supplications to (God) for a return of the inestimable blessings of peace, union, and harmony throughout the land which it has pleased Him to assign as a dwelling place for ourselves and for our posterity throughout all generations.”

-President Abraham Lincoln upon establishing Thanksgiving as a national holiday in 1863.

Hogan Announces Military Veterans to Receive Free Admission to Maryland State Parks

In the spirit of Veterans Day last Saturday and a special focus on veteran appreciation in November, Governor Hogan announced all Vets will receive free access to the 72 state parks in Maryland. There are over 414,000 Vets that live in the State of Maryland who will benefit from this program. We are indebted to your service, and proud to show our support in any way that we can.

Manchester Area Merchants Association Old Fashion Christmas & Holiday Open House

On Friday, November 24th, the M.A.M.A will be hosting an Old Fashion Christmas & Holiday Open House. The event will include dozens of local vendors showing off their goods and services. Much of the attention on Black Friday is directed towards large chain retail establishments, but it is important that we support our local businesses and restaurants as well. The event will be held on Main Street and within the Manchester Activity Building from 4-8pm.
