Ready Report: 338 Tax/Fee Increases, Breakfast this Wednesday & More…
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend. I am so thankful for the caring and godly influence my dad Joe has had and continues to have in my life and it’s the greatest honor in the world to be a father myself. Good men are needed now more than ever before in the lives of children –being good fathers, husbands, grandfathers and/or mentors.
Below is an update including some information about a new executive order from Governor Moore, 338 new tax hikes under his administration, last call for my breakfast fundraiser on Wednesday and upcoming events in the community.
338 New Tax Hikes Under Governor Moore
- That’s how many new taxes and fees have been approved by Governor Moore and his administration in just a year and a half. And many Annapolis Democrats are itching to raise taxes even more next year – even after we just beat back over $3 Billion in tax increases in the 2024 Session. We in the Maryland Senate Republicans and Maryland House Republican Caucus are fighting to inform every Marylander and be sure that taxpayers make their voice heard.
The Joint Republican Caucus released an OpEd calling on Governor Moore and Annapolis Democrats to stop raising taxes. You can read the full article by clicking here.
Ready in the Press – WBAL Radio – On Gov. Moore Climate Executive Order:
Last week, Governor Moore signed a far-reaching executive order involving emissions and climate – it requires government agencies to come out with a plan to regulate all energy in homes by 2035, which would involve getting rid of gas stoves, lays groundwork for miles traveled taxes and “clean tolls” on roads etc. All this would have essentially zero impact on the overall climate in even our region much less the world but of course we know that’s not really the point. On Friday I was interviewed by C4 & Bryan Nehman on WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 – please listen here as we go through what the Governor has put out and what is at stake: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4Jo8J3oYZRUy
