Ready Report: Happy Easter, EoS Wrapup & Capital Funds for Carroll County Projects

Over the weekend, my family spent time remembering Good Friday and Easter with Christians around the world. “It is finished!” are words from Jesus that ring true throughout the centuries since His crucifixion and ultimate triumph over death when we celebrate Resurrection Day on Easter Sunday. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter weekend.

ICYMI: 2025 End of Session Wrap Up

Earlier this week, I, along with Delegate April Rose and Delegate Chris Tomlinson, wrote a comprehensive letter to constituents detailing what happened during the 2025 Legislative Session. This letter includes details about the Operating Budget, the Tax Increase package in the “BRFA” and the separate Capital Budget, some of the top legislative priorities that we were working on, as well as legislation from other members of the General Assembly relating to Energy & MPRP, crime, and the 2nd Amendment. You can read the full letter by clicking here.

Capital Budget Breakdown

The Carroll County Delegation worked in a bi-partisan fashion in the General Assembly on the Capital Budget – which, is separate from the Operating Budget, using largely state bonding authority to fund – to secure key funding for a series of important community projects ranging from public safety infrastructure, to helping veterans, supporting developmentally disabled to assisting local towns.

You can read more about this key funding for Carroll County by clicking here.

As always, feel free to reach out to my office anytime with any questions or concerns. Have a great week ahead!

Sincerely,

Sen. Justin Ready
