Ready Report: Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving and take time to reflect on all of the things that we should be thankful for – from God’s grace in our lives, the free country we live in, the service of those who keep us safe and free and our families and friends. Thank you especially to those who serve our community in police, fire, health care or other emergency services that won’t have as much time off as others.

Ready in the News – Coverage of Maryland Republicans’ Crime Plan

Last week, Republican leadership in the Maryland House of Delegates and Senate rolled out our Public Safety Agenda, which seeks to address the violent crime plaguing our communities. In case you missed it, you can watch the entire joint press conference by clicking here.

Below are links to a couple of media outlet’s coverage of Republican’s agenda to go after the bad guys:

It’s been many years since we’ve passed anything that actually makes life tougher on the criminal despite my and our Republican legislators’ best efforts (with a few Democrats who have been supportive). The time for talk has long since passed and we need Maryland’s leaders including Governor Moore and the Democrats who lead the General Assembly to work with us for real accountability and consequences for criminal behavior – for both adults and juveniles.

Join me and the Carroll County Delegation for Public Meeting on December 7th

The Carroll County Delegation will hold our annual public hearing on proposed county legislation and public comment period on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.  The hearing will take place at the Carroll County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, MD 21157.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me anytime. Our office will be closed for the next few days for the holiday but you can always send emails to [email protected] with constituent needs and we’ll get back to you.
