Ready Report: Independence Day, In the News & Campaign Announcement
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Independence Day Weekend. Below is an update on what has been happening in Annapolis and Carroll County.
Ready in the Press
I have continued to be vocal about Maryland’s critical need for energy production to catch up with our growing demand. I believe nuclear energy is the answer to meet these goals, however Maryland democrats are continuing to double down on unsustainable energy sources like wind and solar. Read more of my thoughts in the Baltimore Sun by clicking here.
Additionally, the Governor has continued airing TV commercials claiming that Maryland’s economy is on the rise, however this is not really the case. It is no coincidence that these commercials are airing just months after Annapolis Democrats passed $1.6 Billion in new state taxes. To hear more of my thoughts on this, click here.
ICYMI: District 5 Legislators File for Re-Election
Earlier this week, myself, Delegate April Rose, and Delegate Chris Tomlinson announced that we have filed to run for re-election and will run together as a team. For the past three years, we have fought for conservative principles in Annapolis. Although we are up against a super majority, there have been several victories from our team, including securing key funding for capital projects throughout the county. We will be putting more information about our campaign in the coming months, but for now you can read the full press release by clicking here.
It is an honor to represent you in the Maryland Senate. As always, feel free to reach out to my office anytime with questions or concerns.
