Ready Report: Pearl Harbor, In the Community & More…

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. As we head into the Christmas holiday season, we start with commemorating Pearl Harbor – December 7th, 1941 – the day that has lived in infamy but ushered in America’s involvement in World War II and solidifying our place as the world’s superpower and best earthly hope. I will never forget visiting Pearl Harbor in Hawaii nearly 14 years ago and seeing the memorial to the USS Arizona which lies at the bottom of the harbor and is the final resting place for over 1,000 sailors, including many who survived the attack and asked to be buried with their shipmates decades later. We have so much to be thankful for and the bravery of our “Greatest Generation” during World War II is high on the list.

Below is an update on the Maryland Senate Republican Caucus’ preparations for the 2025 Legislative Session, as well as some local community updates.

ICYMI: Senator Ready Re-Elected as Minority Whip

Last month, the Republican Senate Caucus held re-elected Senator Steve Hershey and I to leadership positions. Senator Hershey will remain Minority Leader, and I will continue my service as Minority Whip. You can read more by clicking here. I’m committed to leading the fight against the Maryland Democratic Party’s tax-and-spend, hard left agenda – while supporting common sense, Constitutional principles and solutions to the issues we’re facing in our state.

Ready in the Community

Our family enjoyed the annual “Miracle on Main Street” in downtown Westminster on Saturday – from the crafts for the kids earlier in the afternoon to the parade, Christmas tree lighting and lights in the park – it was cold, but it was a beautiful celebration to head into the Christmas holiday season!
