Ready Report: Primary Election Day, 4 th of July Fireworks Info & More…

I hope you and your family are having a great summer so far. I want to thank so many people who attended or contributed to my Annual Business Breakfast on Tuesday at Greenmount Station in Hampstead. We had a great crowd and were able to raise much needed funds as we look ahead to the General Election. Again, thank you for your support.

Election Day – This Tuesday

As you may already know, the Primary Election Day is next Tuesday, June 23rd. Please be sure to make a plan and vote. The polls are open from 7:00 AM-8:00 PM. You can find your polling center by clicking here. If you are holding a mail-in ballot and were concerned about everything going on with these replacements, you can come and vote in person and your vote will count.

In case you missed it, I spotlighted two candidates recently that Delegate Rose, Delegate Tomlinson and I are supporting who are in very close races.

Adam Wood for State Senate in District 42 – including Hampstead, Finksburg and parts of the Westminster and Manchester zip codes outside of the town limits. Read more about Adam from my previous email by clicking here. If you want to help Adam’s campaign, visit AdamWoodforMaryland.com. Not sure what district you live in? Visit MDElect.net and enter your address to confirm.

Allan Culver for State’s Attorney – you can read my breakdown and support from previous email here. This is a crucial decision for Carroll County. To help Allan’s campaign, visit CulverforCarroll.com.

Finally, a number of people have asked me about who I support for Governor. I decided to vote for Ed HaleLet me tell you why.

His background as a successful businessman who is running on a very strong platform of lowering taxes, getting our energy production back up and prices down, cutting waste and fraud in state government and securing our elections are good. There’s other candidates running with good platforms that are good people – but the fact is, we have to have someone who can prosecute the case against Wes Moore’s failures and put together the kind of campaign that it takes. I believe he gives us the best chance to give Wes Moore a real race in the general election. Maryland cannot afford more of the same. We need a Governor focused on Maryland families, working-class taxpayers, small businesses, public safety, and the long-term strength of our economy. If Ed Hale wins the primary, we have a real opportunity to compete in the Fall General Election and get Maryland turned around. Feel free to email me with your thoughts or questions.
