Our team will be working hard to ensure that we are standing up for the values and rights of working families, retirees, and job-creators across the State.
Senator Ready Reaction to Governor Hogan’s State of State
Annapolis: On Wednesday, Governor Larry Hogan delivered his fifth annual State of the State Address. Governor Hogan emphasized the progress Maryland has made over his tenure as Governor. Senator Justin Ready (R- District 5) was in attendance for the Governor’s Address. “I'm pleased that Governor Hogan emphasized the need for real, lasting tax relief," said Senator Ready. "He's rolled out eight legislative proposals that I'm proud to co-sponsor that would provide half a billion dollars in tax reductions on small businesses, working families, individuals and retirees."

CVS Minute Clinics
In honor of American Heart Month, CVS will be hosting several a free heart health screening on February 7, 14, 21, or 28, 2019 at the Minute Clinic in the CVS pharmacy at 6040 Sykesville Rd in Eldersburg.
Individuals receiving screenings will learn the five key personal health numbers that can help determine risk for heart disease: total
cholesterol, HDL (good) cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index. By participating in a heart health screening, you could make a significant difference in raising awareness about heart disease and make an impact on the health and future of someone’s life.
Heroin Still Kills Recap
If you or your children went to CCPS, you are familiar with the Heroin Kills video shown at schools. This was an excellent program that helped teach our students the dangers of using heroin. In order to help teach, a new generation of students the consequences of drug use, Carroll County State’s Attorney Brian DeLeonardo and the Carroll County Health Department helped produce a sequel, Heroin Still Kills.
The movie premiered on January 22nd, and was a great success. Thank you to our partners in Carroll County that help us take on the Heroin Crisis effecting our State.
