I hope you enjoying your summer and the break in the heat. For our family, summer is the perfect time to be with extended family and be outside. Included this week is my recent OpEd in the Carroll County Times, an announcement of funding for Bollinger Park, information on the Carroll County fair, and back to school shopping week.
OpEd: Time has Come for Action on Redistricting Reform
A majority of Marylanders are strongly in favor of redistricting reform. I have co-sponsored legislation with Governor Hogan for the last four years in favor of common-sense, non-partisan redistricting in Maryland. To read my full OpEd in the Carroll County Times, click here.
Funding for Bollinger Park Nature Park
On Wednesday, July 24, 2019, the Board of Public Works approved a request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $150,000 in funding from the Community Parks and Playground Program for a “development” project at Bollinger Park in Taneytown. Specifically, these funds will be used to develop a nature park including nature trails and interpretive signs.
