Poll: Hogan job approval surges to 70 percent
Gov. Larry Hogan’s job approval numbers continue to climb according to a poll released Tuesday by Annapolis-based Gonzales Research and Marketing Strategies. In the poll, 70 percent of the 809 registered voters said they approved of the job the Republican was doing at roughly the two-thirds point of Hogan’s second General Assembly session with 18 percent saying they disapprove. Program Open Space Funds Approved for Westminster Veterans Memorial Park Project
Annapolis – On Wednesday the State Board of Public Works approved a $1,550,000 grant from Program Open Space for Westminster Veterans Memorial Park. This grant will be used to design and engineer this beautiful 32 acre park that honors Carroll County’s veterans and fallen heroes. To see the press release on this, click here.
Leadership Carroll is now accepting applications for the Class of 2017. Leadership Carroll is cosponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Community College. Since its debut in 1990, Leadership Carroll has been the premier leadership development program in Carroll County. For more information about the program or to apply, click here.
The deadline to apply for a Senatorial Scholarship is March 31st. To be eligible for a Senatorial Scholarship, you must attend a Maryland college or university, a private career school, or a school out of state that offers a “unique major” not currently found in the Maryland University System. Students may use the Senatorial Scholarship towards undergraduate studies or graduate studies, and may attend full or part-time.
