Ready Report May 17th, 2017

It is hard to believe we are almost half-way through the month of May already. I always tell my out-of-state relatives that there is nothing quite as beautiful as the State of Maryland in the late spring, and the nice weather we’ve had this week is proving this. We had a very exciting day last Thursday Right when the Governor and his cabinet came to Carroll County for the day. We are fortunate to have a Governor that ensures that all parts of the State of Maryland are taken care of.

Below you can find more information regarding the Governor’s visit to Carroll last week, an invitation regarding the Third Annual Drug Overdose and Prevention Vigil, details on my 7th Annual Business Breakfast Roundtable, and more!

Governor Hogan Visit

The Governor had a full agenda when he and his administration brought the capital to Westminster for the day. It was an honor to show the Governor the outstanding schools, businesses, and service facilities we have in Carroll County. To read more about the Governor’s visit, click on the picture below.

 Strouse Plans Expansion in Westminster

Strouse, a die-cut adhesive manufacturer that serves the military and defense, automotive, appliance, and medical industries, is expanding its presence in Carroll County. The company is relocating and constructing a new headquarters and manufacturing facility in the Westminster Technology Park. Strouse currently employs 65 workers in the county and anticipates adding 25 new jobs over the next four years. The announcement was made during the Governor’s visit to Carroll County last week. This is an exciting development for Strouse and our community. We look forward to continue working with Governor Hogan and business leaders like Strouse in the future to bring more facilities and jobs to our County.
