New State Funding Secured for Carroll County Parks, Playgrounds and Hashawha Nature Center
On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the Board of Public Works approved several items impacting Carroll County, including:
$417,000 from Program Open Space that will provide $270.000 for a new roof and gutters at Carroll Sports Complex and $146,100 to install new playground equipment at Cape Horn Park.
$1,320,000 from the Department of Natural Resources Local Parks and Playgrounds Infrastructure funding that will provide $150,000 for a new pavilion and accessible walkway at Bear Branch, $165,000 for new playground equipment at Charles Carroll Park, $288,000 for a new lighting system at the multipurpose field at Deer Park, $522,000 to improve roads and parking at Hashawha & Bear Branch Nature Center, $65,000 for new playground equipement at Hashawha Environmental Center, and $100,000 for new playground equipment for Landon C. Burns Park.
Maryland Citizens Redistricting Committee
