Maryland Senate Republicans Pre-Session Issues Survey
As you may know, I was elected to be the Senate Minority Whip recently. My fellow Republican Senators and I are fighting to bring balance and conservative reform to the Maryland General Assembly. We are seeing Annapolis continue to lurch to the left and advance a progressive agenda that is out of step with everyday Marylanders. We want to do the best job we can representing your values and understand what issues are most important to you and your family as we prepare for the 2022 Legislative Session that begins in January.

Re-Fund The Police: Governor Hogan Announces $150 Million Initiative
Governor Larry Hogan announced a $150 million Re-Fund The Police Initiative which will provide much-needed support and resources to state and local police agencies in their efforts to fight violent crime. This initiative is the first in a series of announcements the governor will make to support the police and make neighborhoods safer. The governor’s $150 million Re-Fund The Police Initiative includes:
$120 Million for State and Local Police Agencies
$10 Million for Safer Neighborhoods
$20 Million for Victim Protection

Maryland Citizens Redistricting Committee (State Legislative and Congressional):
The final round of public meetings concluded Wednesday, October 16th. The Final Commission Meeting Recap of Events will be held on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6 PM. For a look at the proposed maps, the most up to date information and schedule, visit Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission.
Save the Date: Carroll County Legislative Delegation to Hold Public Hearing on Local Bill Requests
The Carroll County Delegation will hold their annual public hearing on proposed county legislation on Wednesday, November 17th at 6:00 pm. The hearing will take place in the Reagan Room of the County Office Building , 225 North Center Street, Westminster, MD.
The Delegation will be discussing possible Carroll County-specific bill requests for the 2022 Maryland General Assembly Legislative Session. These legislative requests are ones made by the County Board of Commissioners, local non-profit organizations, and individual Delegation members. More information and an agenda will be sent at a later date. IMPORTANT: We will also be discussing and taking public input on proposed maps for new County Commissioner Districts. We will putting drafts out for review in advance of the meeting.
