Good morning,
Here’s an update on what’s happening in Annapolis at the end of the fourth week of the 2023 Legislative Session. Bill hearings began in the Senate Finance Committee, so we are now focusing on lots of specific issues in the area of health care, business regulations and more.
I am “dropping” (submitting) several bills that are aimed at addressing critical issues from fighting violent crime, protecting our Constitutional rights and standing up for parental rights. I am also gearing up for the fights next week on anti-2nd Amendment legislation. Thousands of law-abiding gun owners will be coming to Annapolis to make their voice heard.
Additionally, this past Wednesday, Governor Moore gave his first State of the State address in front of both the House of Delegates and Senate of Maryland. I’ll be sharing some reaction to the speech and the issues that were introduced below.

Ready in the Press – WBAL Radio Interview
On Wednesday, I went on Torrey Snow’s show on WBAL radio. We discussed Governor Moore’s State of the State address. While Governor Moore did talk about some items like cutting taxes for veteran retirees, which of course I support – and we should reduce them for all retirees – the Governor did not address the violent crime that is plaguing our state in any way or commit to solutions. You can listen to the entire interview by clicking here.
